FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio. Contains main character death, obviously!

Rejected idea of Spi catching FrieAme kissing

Amethio insisting that it's okay for Friede to kiss him after their first kiss (also initiated by Amethio) and Friede wants to but A) morals and B) he's terrified of getting caught by someone

Possible bad ending (I'm not that mean though): Spinel walks in on them kissing (he's come to see Amethio) and Amethio's too weak to really explain things and Spinel does not believe anything that comes out of Friede's mouth and is adamant that Friede's been taking advantage of his brother

Spinel then, at some point, somehow sets up a hidden camera in Amethio's room because he's convinced that Friede's doing more than just kissing Amethio (or if not, he's kissing him regularly, which is also bad and not good)

Friede does end up kissing Amethio again (Amethio begs him to) except oops Spinel managed to catch it on the hidden camera and he goes and tells Gibeon

Spinel's just extremely worried about Amethio and is terrified that there are other things going on as well, which Gibeon also thinks is a likely scenario

[Me]
Nobody believes Friede when he tries to explain that Amethio was the one initiating the kissing and wanting it, because y'know, Friede's still an adult in a position of power & trust and Amethio's a teenager who's too weak to defend himself

I'm not gonna actually write this into the fic but. Maybe Friede has a very vivid nightmare about this kinda thing after kissing Amethio for a second time lol
