FrieAme Modern Day Hospital AU Part 1

FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio. Contains main character death, obviously!

Thanks to my good friend for always contributing great ideas! <3

"Lucius's flower garden:

Each flower/plant represents a patient. If a patient dies while in hospital, a second flower/plant is planted for them."
[Me] There wasn't any particular reason why Luci started doing it. He just wanted to honour them in some way. And since, to him, flowers represent the beauties of life, he thought it would be a good thing to offset the bleakness of the hospital itself
[Me] Maybe when he was young he lost a dear friend/close family member to an illness and that was part of what made him want to do something to preserve the memories of the patients
[Me] There's also a wall around the back of the garden, perhaps, with plaques dedicated to everyone who's died there over the many years. The entrance has long since been hidden by flowers and bushes, so nobody knows it's there except for Luci (and maybe Diana too)
[Me] The plaques aren't anything fancy. Just the patient's name and age at the time of death. Luci always asks permission from the family, and in cases where it's not granted or he can't contact them, he still puts up a plaque, except there's no name.
[Me] In place of the patient's name, Luci puts the name of the flowers he planted after them. He didn't want to use numbers or meaningless letters to represent them, since that didn't feel right to him
[Me] The flowers he picks are based on the patient's birthday, or, sometimes, their personality, if he finds something that he thinks truly fits
[Me] If he knows the patient, he'll carefully pick which flower/s he plants for them
[Me] I'm useless with flowers/plants but maybe for Ame, Luci plants a purple hyacinth, since that means both "sorrow" and "please forgive me"... It's too personal with Ame, almost
