FrieAme Modern Day Hospital AU Part 1
FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio. Contains main character death, obviously!

Failed suicide attempt (only vague stuff)

Amethio trying to find a way out of his situation because he's unable to cope with it, and he wants to at least end his life on his own terms.

But he doesn't manage to, and Friede's the one who "saves" him. Amethio ends up resenting Friede for a while afterwards because not only does Friede reject Amethio's feelings for him, he also won't let Amethio die

It's not actually Friede's fault, of course, it's just everything. The crushing reality of knowing he's going to die. Being hyper aware of his body starting to fail on him in multiple ways. Having his independence and dignity slowly stripped of him. And knowing that there's nothing he can do about it

So for Amethio, he wants to end it before it gets even worse. Before he can't do anything at all for himself. To him, ending his own life would be some form of control. It would be, in his mind, defying his fate
