LuciGibe affair stuff being worked into the hospital AU

WAIT what if I worked LuciGibe affair stuff into the hospital AU? That's why Gibe ends up sending Ame to that specific hospital: he knows it's owned by Luci, and Gibe trusts that Luci will look after his patients (though he doesn't know Luci's retired now and Diana runs it)

Ame was still the one who caught LuciGibe in bed together but maybe he ended up telling Spi? And Spi was old enough to have slightly more of an idea of what was going on so Spi told their mother

And yes their mother's still dead, her death is unrelated to the affair. I want her death to have been something sudden (not a suicide) and random. Like a car accident? Idk

But it would be a reason for Ame distrusting Gibe and being bitter about his family. He's inferior and, on top of that, there's still a rift between them because Gibe knows it was Ame who saw him and Luci

When Ame interacts with Luci in the gardens, neither of them recognise each other because it's been a good 10 years. Maybe Luci doesn't actually give Ame his name (he just forgets). Ame doesn't pick up that it's Luci because Luci's wearing a hat and has his hair tied back maybe?

Perhaps when Ame's weaker, Frie takes him out for a stroll in a wheelchair and they visit the garden. Luci invites them to a small cabin he has near the garden (because he spends too much time there) and when they're inside and Luci takes off his hat/undoes his hair, Ame immediately recalls who he is and has to stop himself from hitting Luci in the face

Ame: YOU... YOU'RE THE ASSHOLE WHO...
Luci: ?
Ame: I take it you didn't recognise me. How convenient. What if I said my name was Amethio?
Luci: Hm? That does sound vaguely familiar... Have we met?
Ame: Oh, we have indeed
Ame: Alright. And if I said I was Gibeon [surname]'s son?
Luci: Oh. Oh my god. No. You're... his son?
Frie: (Wtf is going on)

In my mind this is after Gibe visits Ame in hospital for the first time, and during that visit things... do not go well and Ame ends up humiliating himself somehow because of his weakening body so Ame's been feeling extra negative about Gibe leading up to the reveal that Weird Gardener Man was the guy his dad had an affair with

Like Ame was ~5 or 6 when the affair happened so he doesn't remember Luci that well, especially since Luci spent most of his time with Gibe anyway

Spi would recognise Luci if he saw him, but Spi won't find out until after all of this

(It's also why Gibe didn't want to visit the hospital that much -- he didn't want to run into Luci)

That'd make the "Ame met Frie in a park and Frie took Ame home for the night" storyline less believable though, oops

Hmmm but Frie could've been a trainee doctor (registrar) at the time I guess. I imagine he lives somewhere different (closer to the hospital) when the story actually takes place so Ame wouldn't go "Wait I've been to this apartment before" when he spends that one long weekend there

Maybe Frie gives him hot chocolate again and for some reason Ame recognises the taste even though he shouldn't (it's cheap instant hot chocolate)

Also yes I realise Luci was a masseur in the affair stuff. Maybe he did it as a side business? Even back then he'd had enough of running the hospital. I don't know

Anyway I'm very tempted to have LuciGibe's affair be part of the hospital AU... And it's part of why Gibe ended up shutting off his emotions. That and his wife's death but also, if you don't experience love/lust then you're not gonna have any more affairs with your ex boyfriend

Frie telling Diana he wants Ame's dad to come visit and giving her the file on Ame and Diana takes one look at Ame's surname and goes "Hoooo boy" but she does end up dragging Gibe's ass to the hospital
