FrieAme Modern Day Hospital AU Part 1

FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio. Contains main character death, obviously!

What if Frie's from an abusive family but the violent kind of abuse, not the emotional neglect kind... His mum was abusive, and at some point his dad left with him, but Frie's dad didn't really know how to take care of him at all
[Me] So Frie leaves when he can because he doesn't want to burden his dad anymore and his dad doesn't really have enough money to support him. Frie ends up living with Lucca for a while (maybe she's one of his high school teachers, he's still in school at this stage) and she encourages him to devote himself to something
[Me] Frie ends up becoming a doctor in part because of her
[Me] Lucca knows Frie's smart -- he just needs a push!
[Me] Anyway part of why Frie's so adamant about getting Ame's family to be closer is that he knows what it's like being left behind, and he also knows that it's possible to overcome things and be a good parent regardless of the situation (in other words, Frie thinks Gibe has no excuse)
[Me] The other part of why Frie wants to help kids is because his meeting with little Ame stuck with him... Not that he remembers the kid that well, he just remembers helping a kid and how sad and lonely the young boy seemed. And Frie realised he couldn't really help him (he did, though) so it motivated him to work harder
