FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio.

I want Gibe to find out about Ame's terminal diagnosis from Ham (the hospital just rang the contact number they were given for Ame's family and Ham is the one who always answers the phone) after a very stressful day of meetings. Ham actually tries to call Gibe during a meeting, but Gibe ignores it
"[Me] Ham tries again a couple of hours later and that time, Gibe picks up

Ham: Gibeon-sama, I have some ne--
Gibe: About what? Can't it wait?
Ham: About Amethio-sama-
Gibe: So it can wait. We'll talk later

Gibe then hangs up"
"[Me] The last meeting of the day lasts longer than planned, and negotiations with a potential business partner fall through despite Gibe's efforts. He's exhausted by the time everything's over.

He just wants to go home and not have to think about work"
"[Me] But then he remembers that Ham wanted to talk to him, so he begrudgingly calls Ham back

Gibe: This better be important
Ham: ...It is. Perhaps I should tell you in person
Gibe: Then what was the point of-- you know what? Never mind. Just get in here"
"[Me] A few minutes later, Ham knocks on the door and enters Gibe's office. He looks distressed, which isn't like him.

Gibe: What?
Ham: I've been contacted by the hospital where Amethio-sama is. They've... figured out what the cause of his issues is
Gibe: That he's making it up? Took them long enough
Ham: Gibeon-sama..."
"[Me] Ham: I didn't quite catch the name, but I was told he has some rare illness
Gibe: ...And? Are they just going to keep him there until he gets better, or do we have to put up with him at home?
Ham: ...The illness... is terminal
Gibe: Excuse me?
Ham: It's always fatal. The doctor I spoke to said there's no cure. All they can do is prolong the inevitable"
"[Me] Gibe: How did they diagnose it? Do we know for certain that we can trust their word?
Ham: It supposedly showed up clearly on several of the imaging scans they did, and in blood test results. Considering the previous hospital did not pick it up, I assume this time, the diagnosis is correct..."
"[Me] Gibe: ...How long... does it take to progress?
Ham: They said it's rather variable and depends on the patient
Gibe: ...
Ham: What should we do, Gibeon-sama?
Gibe: ...I shall contact them in the morning. For now, let's... let's just head home
Ham: Understood"
"[Me] Gibe has no idea what to think. Ham's words still aren't properly registering with him because of how tired he is.

Ame... wasn't faking things this entire time? He really was unwell?

He had some rare, terminal illness? As in, he was going to die soon? How soon? Five years from now? Next year? Next month? Next week?"
"[Me] Was this some kind of joke? No... it was more like a nightmare.

Gibe didn't have the time to deal with something like this. He was in the middle of a lot of major projects and business negotiations. Why now, during such a busy time?"
"[Me] When Gibe calls the hospital back the next day, he's told point blank that the illness would never be misdiagnosed because of how specific it is. And that even with the best available medical technology, there's no cure.

They don't know how long Ame will last, but given how advanced his illness seems to be, at most he has just under a year left"
[Redacted] Gibe really like "why doesn't my son's illness manifest at a more appropriate time for me"
[Me] At least he's too busy to be mad at Ame I guess /s

"[Me] Gibe: I'm too fucking tired for this shit

[Me] At least after Ame tries to run away from the hospital the second time Gibe goes "That's enough of your bullshit" and personally chooses somewhere to move him to
[Redacted] He cared enough to move him to another hospital! (the bare minimum)
[Me] Even Ham has to be like "Sir I think you should care about your son a bit more" from time to time and Gibe just goes "FINE" and interacts with him for about 5 entire minutes and then he's done

[Me] Still want a scene where Frie talks to Ham directly about Gibe's lack of involvement with Ame and Ham's like "I mean I agree with you but legally I am not allowed to tell him he's wrong :|"

[Me] In all seriousness I think Ham would blame himself for not being more assertive with Gibe... Not that it's Ham's fault, but he'd feel guilty about things a little bit
[Redacted] Yeah especially since he saw everything crumble before his eyes too. And he is definitely attached to Ame and Spi and wants better for them.
[Me] I think all the servants (not that they have that many) would feel a bit guilty, even though none of them really could've stood up to Gibe anyway. He's way too scary
[Redacted] It's good. I love Gibe being scary and intimidating others to the point they can't call him out.
[Me] The only people who talk back to Gibe are Luci (who's willing to call him out on his bullshit), Diana (who just straight up hates him) and Spi, like, eventually
[Me] Frie would love to but he also isn't willing to throw his career down the drain just to tell Gibe he's being a piece of shit (especially when he knows Gibe isn't going to listen to him aynway)
