FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio.

Thinking about Ame's body starting to rapidly deteriorate towards the end of his life... and there's nothing he can do about it. Mentally, he's aware of what's happening, and he hates how humiliating and embarrassing it is and all he feels is shame.
[Me] Frie tries to reassure him that it's normal and he shouldn't let it bother him but like... Frie's also fully aware that Ame's a teenager and it must be mortifying for someone his age to lose control of his body
[Me] Ame being in a great deal of emotional distress over his dissipating freedom and self-control and whatnot and Frie not being able to help him... Nobody being able to do anything to stop it...
[Me] At most Frie can try and slow things down a bit with certain medication but even then it's extremely temporary
[Me] Gibe seeing Ame in such a state and Ame wanting to just... disappear because he's become so weak and pathetic and everything Gibe told him not to be... Gibe never says anything to Ame about it but Ame's convinced Gibe's silently judging him
[Me] He doesn't like Spi being around him, either, but at least he's patched things up with Spi enough to the point where he knows Spi isn't going to make fun of him for no longer being able to do anything on his own
[Me] No real thoughts beyond this but. I just want Ame having to come to terms with the fact that his body is failing on him and he can no longer hide from the reality of his situation (y'know, that he's dying)
