FrieAme Modern Day Hospital AU Part 2
FrieAme AU where Friede's a paediatrician and Amethio's a terminally ill inpatient. Friede's in charge of Amethio's care and keeps telling himself not to get attached but oops Friede gets attached. So does Amethio.

Gibe choosing to visit Ame when he's really sick instead of attending some important business meeting... Gibe's never missed a meeting before, and he knows the other company they're dealing with will be unhappy and he'll have to do a lot of work to patch things up but he doesn't care anymore
[Me] Gibe won't be bothered if Ame spends the day asleep or if he's asked to leave. He just... he can't be in his office all day. His mind is elsewhere
[Me] When Gibe goes to work the following day, he's stuck on a phone call with someone from that company for hours and is yelled at the entire time. Gibe tunes out after a while
[Me] At the end of the lecture, the person on the call says something like "Don't go thinking you're so important that you can skip meetings with us! This has been planned for months! You better have a damned good reason for failing to show up! Why were you not present?!"
[Me] Gibe sighs deeply, completely over everything, and replies with "My son is currently in hospital with an incurable, terminal illness, and he does not have long left. I was asked to visit him on short notice yesterday after a medical scare. I myself may not be more important than your company and its staff, but I can assure you that my son most certainly is"
[Me] And with that Gibe hangs up
"[Me] Some corporate bozo: HOW DARE YOU NOT SHOW UP TO OUR VERY IMPORTANT MEETING YESTERDAY (etc etc)
Gibe: My son's fucking dying"
