Amethio's smug, proud older brother. Used to bully Amethio relentlessly, but now just ignores him. A young adult studying business and finance at university. Heir of the Forscher family, and fully aware of his high standing in life.

• Big Brother Bully: Is a big brother bully to Amethio who tormented him for years following their grandparents' divorce. Spinel would physically and emotionally abuse and manipulate Amethio in many ways, including encouraging Amethio to end his own life and telling Amethio he's worthless and that nobody loves him. He ends up regretting his actions, and apologises to Amethio.
• Big Brother Instinct: Spinel, despite everything, DOES end up having this towards Amethio at the end of Amethio's life. He's determined to make Amethio happy, and even calls out Gibeon on Amethio's behalf a few times for good measure, too.
• Book Smart: He does very well academically and is always at the top of his class.
• Closet Geek: Actually really likes video games and anime. Keeps this a secret from his family, since he knows Gibeon would never approve of such hobbies.
• Compulsive Liar: Started doing this to appease Gibeon, but eventually became unable to stop. It's especially frequent when he's super stressed.
• Dark Secret: That he was sexually abused by his great-grandfather when he was a child. Only Gibeon and Crave know that he experienced such a thing.
• Despair Event Horizon: After Amethio dies. He does not cope well at all.
• Does Not Like Men: Doesn't trust adult men who are older than himself due to past sexual abuse from his great-grandfather.
• Dude Looks Like a Lady: As pointed out by his great-grandfather, in an extremely inappropriate way.
• The Fake Cutie: As a child, he did his best to appease the adults around him by acting cute and innocent, and assumed this would make people like him more. It turns out to backfire on him when his great-grandfather takes advantage of the (seemingly) naive persona he's created.
• The Fashionista: Was inspired by Maria, who always dressed glamorously.
• Freudian Excuse is No Excuse: Like Gibeon, he comes to realise that his trauma is not a good reason for bullying Amethio.
• The Gadfly: Maliciously towards Amethio, but at one point it shifted from this into actual bullying. In the present, he's this towards Friede until his Jerkass Realization, when he stops this behaviour.
• Growing Up Sucks: Hated going through puberty as it meant he started resembling Maria less and less, and felt as though he was losing his only connection to her.
• Guyliner: Wears crimson eyeliner.
• Head-Turning Beauty: The first person to make him aware of this was his great-grandfather, back when Spinel was only ten.
• Headphones Equal Isolation: When he's in his bedroom and hears Gibeon yelling at Amethio, he puts on loud music to drown out his grandfather's abuse. He does this at university lectures too, but his friends pester him anyway.
• Hyper-Awareness: Really wishes he wasn't like this, but he developed it as a defense mechanism in response to being sexually abused by his great-grandfather.
• It's All About Me: With exception to Gibeon, he sees himself as superior to everyone. He eventually deflates his ego a bit.
• Jerkass Realization: Similarly to Gibeon, but not nearly as extreme with how he comes to realise his behaviour. Seeing Gibeon admit that he was horrible to his grandsons makes Spinel realise that he was also awful towards Amethio with his relentless bullying and death threats, and makes an effort to mend his relationship with his younger brother as much as possible before Amethio's death. Amethio, however, is apprehensive towards Spinel even then and it takes Amethio a long time to finally trust him.
• Kids Are Cruel: Bullied Amethio relentlessly for years. It stopped only when Spinel started attending university and ran out of free time.
• Mask of Sanity: Seems like a completely normal person on the outside, but he brutally bullied and abused Amethio for years, to the point of telling Amethio to kill himself. Gibeon's extreme expectations for him are a large contributor.
• Messy Hair: No matter how much he tries, it's impossible to straighten.
• Momma's Boy: Was extremely close to Maria, which is why he's still upset about her death.
• Narcissist: Comes across as this, but he's secretly extremely insecure and the narcissism is a coping mechanism.
• Proud Beauty: Is very boastful about his beauty. It's a coping mechanism.
• Psychological Projection: A lot of his emotional abuse towards Amethio, such as telling Amethio he was ugly, stupid, dirty/unclean and unlovable, were how he saw himself as a person. However, as a teenager, he was unable to process his insecurities, and lashed out at his younger brother as a result. Like Gibeon, Spinel ends up feeling remorseful about his behaviour.
• Rich Bitch: He's wealthy and stuck-up.
• Ridiculously High Relationship Standards: Has never been in a relationship because he doesn't think anybody is good enough for him. He loosens up once he gets older.
• Sanity Slippage: Started when his great-grandfather molested him at the age of ten.
• Smells Sexy: Smells faintly of roses.
• Took a Level in Kindness: After Gibeon's Jerkass Realization, Spinel realises he, too, has been horrible towards Amethio — which Amethio also calls him out for directly, just as he did with his grandfather. Seeing Gibeon apologise and start trying to be kinder to Amethio is what makes Spinel also decide to own up to his behaviour.
• Troubled Toybreaker: Whenever he was unable to live up to Gibeon's expectations of him when he was younger, he'd take his frustrations out on Amethio's toys.
• Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Until he was sexually abused as a child. And then his grandparents went through a messy divorce. And then his mother died.
