The creator had already stepped away from Undertale AU-related creative activity and responses, and had clearly indicated that they would not respond to any further questions or contact.
I was also told that, by the time I contacted them, multiple inquiries had already been received.
Taking that situation into account, and in order not to place any further burden on the creator, I asked that, if secondary and tertiary fanworks were prohibited, that point be stated clearly, and if any permission existed, that the acceptable scope be made explicit.
It was through confirming and organizing the matter on that basis that the current guidelines were established.
As for me, I personally felt that the creator’s initial reply was already sufficient.
At the same time, because I was not personally familiar with the detailed rules, I considered how their wishes could best be clarified.
Every message used to confirm matters with the creator, including the wording of the final confirmation, was written by me.
If any of it felt too long or gave too strong an impression, that was due to shortcomings in my own way of expressing it.
